If you are an employee adding a dependent:
Please note that the insurance company may request proof of a "qualifying event" to enroll your dependent in insurance coverage. Qualifying events include marriage, birth, or losing coverage under a different insurance policy. To update the start date based on the qualifying event:
1) Log into your SimplyInsured employee dashboard and add your dependent under "Dependent Coverage." You can can access this directly here:
2) After you fill in your dependent's information, you will be able to check off the desired effective date as seen below.
Note: If you are adding a newborn dependent within 30 days of they are born, their coverage will be retroactive to their date of the birth.
