If your health insurance plan was recently cancelled for non-payment, our customer support team can reach out to your insurance carrier and walk you through the steps to get your health insurance policy reinstated so that there is no lapse in coverage for your employees.
- You will need to be ready to pay the full amount owed to the health insurance company to begin the reinstatement process. The quickest method to make this payment is over the phone with your health insurance company.
- Once the insurance company has received the payment it usually takes 2-3 weeks for your health insurance policy to be reinstated. Once reinstated, it will take an additional 24-48 hours for their system to update as active before you can be found in provider and pharmacy systems.
- You will have retroactive coverage back to the months you were cancelled for, which will ensure there is no lapse in coverage.
*Note: There are deadlines for reinstatement, so if your insurance policy has been cancelled and you don't want a lapse in coverage, make sure to start your reinstatement process right away!
